
Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party leader of Madhes Provincial Assembly Krishna Yadav, has been appointed to the post of chief minister of the province. Province head Surendra Labh Karna appointed Yadav, who secured support from seven party alliance in the provincial assembly, as the new chief minister of the Madhes Province, according to Nepali Congress sources.
The post of chief minister of the Madhes Province remained vacant since CPN-UML’s Saroj Kumar Yadav submitted his resignation from the post on Wednesday after failing to get majority support in the assembly.
Earlier, Nepali Congress leader Krishna Yadav, who secured support from six political parties including CPN-Maoist Centre, Unified Socialist Party, Lokatnatrik Samajwadi Party, Janamat Party and Nagarik Unmukti Party submitted his claim for the post of chief minister of the province.
