Archive Nepal has recently organized 1st Newa Transcribathon – a celebration of Newa heritage, language and Scripts in Lalitpur.
In the event, Preserving Newa Heritage – one manuscript at a time was concluded marking an important step toward safeguarding the age old linguistic and cultural legacy of the Newars.
In the event, 25 Nepalbhasa and Nepal Lipi experts participated presenting 25 ancient manuscripts transcribed. The event gathered 3 generations to to decode history together.
The event was noted as a successful and inspiring. The organized state that this was just the beginning – more such events will be organized in near future.
The event held on November 22, 2025 Saturday at Yalamaya Kendra, Patandhoka, Lalitpur.
