
SpiceJet has resumed its daily flights between Delhi and Kathmandu starting from 10th May, improving air connectivity between India and Nepal. This development offers travellers more convenient access to Nepal, known for its Himalayan landscapes, cultural heritage, and adventure tourism opportunities.
India’s low-cost airline SpiceJet has resumed its regular Delhi-Kathmandu-Delhi flight after six years. On Saturday morning, a SpiceJet aircraft landed at Tribhuvan International Airport with 140 passengers aboard. This was mentioned by Himalaya Global Travel Services, the official GSA of the airlines.
SpiceJet will operate the route with a Boeing 737-800 series aircraft, which has a seating capacity of 189.
Founded in 1984, SpiceJet is a low-cost airline and ranks as the sixth-largest airline in India as of 2024. The airline flies to 60 domestic and 13 international destinations. Nepal Airlines, Air India, and Air Indigo operate regular flights on this route these days. Air India runs four daily flights, Indigo operates two, and Nepal Airlines offers one.
