Nepal government has decided to provide salaries and allowances to civil servants on a fortnightly basis. The Ministry of Finance took a decision to this effect on Friday and circulated a letter to the Financial Comptroller General Office to make necessary arrangements for the purpose, Finance Ministry sources said.
A ministerial-level decision taken by the Ministry of Finance Nepal last Friday has already directed the Financial Comptroller General Office to make the necessary arrangements for distributing salaries to the government staff every 15 days. An official at the Comptroller General’s Office has confirmed that a circular has been received from the ministry and that the decision will be implemented soon.
According to the Finance Ministry, the move aims to ensure that employees receive their payments on time and to help keep the country’s economy vibrant.
