NUSAN organizes heritage walk in Kirtipur

Nepal US Alumni Network (NUSAN) on Saturday organized Heritage Walk – 2025 at Kirtipur in collaboration with Kirtipur Municipality. The two hour long cultural walk started at Chithu of Kirtipur and concluded at Uma Maheshwor Temple area.

Jason P. Meeks, deputy chief at the US Embassy, Nepal, Kirtipur Mayor Krishna Man Dangol, NUSAN President Pravina Amatya, Nepal Tourism Board CEO Deepak Raj Joshi among others took part in the heritage walk. Around 100 USG alumni, media persons, tourism entrepreneurs and members of Kirtipur Municipality also joined the walk.

Traditional music accompanied by Lakhe dance as well as Dhime and flute playing also featured during the programme. The heritage walk was organized with a view to highlighting historical and cultural aspects of Kirtipur as well as promoting tourism. On the occasion.

Mayor Dangol on the occasion sought help and cooperation from all concerned to promote tourism in Kirtipur with special focus on income generation activities for the local people.
