
NMB Bank has taken a significant step forward in digital payment technology with the launch of SoftPOS services for the first time in Nepal. Any NFS support Android mobile phone can be used as a POS machine.
This service will enable SMEs and Tursim enterprises to accept payments using their debit and credit cards over their mobile. With the use of SoftPOS, NMB aims to connect small merchants, delivery services and even remote rural entrepreneurs to digital payment systems. Govinda Ghimire, Chief Executive Officer of NMB Bank said, “The softPOS service is not only a new technology, it is a big step towards Nepal’s entrepreneurship and digital future. The mobile phone in every merchant’s pocket will now become a payment terminal, and business operations will become easier and safer.”
