K.P. Oli’s father passes away

Father of CPN-UML chair and former Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli, Mohan Prasad Oli, passed away Friday morning at the age of 97. Oli’s father breathed his last at the Nepal -Korea Friendship Hospital in Bhaktapur district, where was undergoing treatment for some time.

His last rite was paid at Pashupati Aryaghat in Kathmandu in the afternoon on March 13. Son K.P. Oli, placed funeral pyre on the body of his father, according to sources at the CPN-UML. K.P. Oli, the four time Prime Minister of Nepal, recently lost Parliamentary election to former Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah who is also the leader of Rastriya Swatantra Party, in Jhapa 5 constituency.
