
Experts and officials have underscored the need to forge collaborations among various stakeholders to move the country forward on the path of pursuing inclusive, climate friendly and investment friendly agricultural system. Speaking at the Nepal Food Forum 2025 participated in by high government officials, startup entrepreneurs, researchers, representatives of the private sector, and indigenous community as well as development partnerships, the participants pointed out that discussions and dialogue should be adopted while formulating agricultural policies and implementing them.
Speaking on the occasion Agriculture Minister Madan Pariyar said that the government is committed to modernize agriculture sector through promotion of startups, attracting investment and implanting inclusive programmes. Mentioning the importance of active participation of youths, women and indigenous community in food and agricultural transformation, he pointed out that inclusive participation is essential for long term productivity and upliftment of society.
The programme was organized by UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and Ministry for Agriculture and Livestock, Nepal. During the programme the participants discussed issues such as the need for promoting partnership and collaboration, encouraging youth oriented startup, food security, rural livelihood as well as strengthening sustainable economic growth.
