Nepalese national Amrit Jha, who was made hostage during conflict in Iran, has been finally released. According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nepal the Honorary Consul General in Tehran has informed that Jha was released on the order of local court.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said that it has made efforts to make public detailed descriptions about 33 year old Nepali national Jha and to take initiative for completing necessary legal procedures to return Jha to Nepal. Resident of Triyuga Municipality of Udaypur district Jha is a captain of a ship, who was taken into custody by Iranian military while transporting fuel between Dubai and Iran.

Meanwhile, United Arab Emirate government has released 128 Nepali inmates, arrested on different occasions. UAE government pardoned the Nepalese nationals serving jail sentence in different jails in UAE on the holy month of Ramdan. Issuing a statement Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nepal has extended sincere appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to the government o the UAE for the release of the Nepalis on humanitarian ground.
