Former Energy Minister and Nepali Congress leader Deepak Khadka, who was arrested on money laundering cases on Sunday, has been admitted to hospital the next day as he complained health problem.

Khadka is currently undergoing treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj.

According the police, Khadka was detained for investigation into the burnt pieces of bank notes recovered from his residence during the Gen-Z protests. Officials from the Department of Money Laundering Investigation had earlier collected burnt banknote pieces and ashes from his house as part of the probe.
