Five books of Siddhi B. Ranjitkar launched

Er. Siddhi Bahadur Ranjitkar, who has been writing and publishing books in various genres through the English language for decades, has launched five books on different subjects in a single event on Saturday. The books released are “Nepa: Civilization”, “Arniko”, “AnauthoYatra”, “Ancient and Contemporary Culture of Nepal” and “Nevah Culture & Religion”.

On the books release event, various experts – Dr. Gopal Dhaubanjar, Anu Raj Joshi, Prakash Prasad Upadhyay, Prof. Dr. Beena Paudyal reviewed books while the author himself introduced the book titled “Nevah Culture & Religion”.

On the occasion, author Ranjitkar was honoured by the “Nepal Mandal Culture Preservation Campaign” realizing his contributions in well documenting native culture, religion and heritage.

The event to release the books was organized by Nepal Mandal Culture Preservation Campaign, led by senior journalist Kumar Ranjit. Kumar Ranjit mentioned that the ideas of the learned speakers provided intellectual thoughts to those interested in the history, culture and civilization of Nepal. Moreover, he expressed hearty congratulations and best wishes for the publication of valuable contributions from the author in future.

Author Ranjitkar is economist and mining engineer by academic degrees. He had worked in Nepal Government’s Department of Mining. Also had worked in Swiss Association for Technical Assistance (SATA), USAID, Nepal Government’s Town Development Fund.

He had contributed a large number of articles in English language on culture and economics of Nepal in various newspapers and periodicals. The noted books published are as below: 

1.   Development Efforts in Nepal: A Historical Perspective (1996)

2.   Kumari: The Virgin Goddess (1996; 2nd ed. 2002)

3.   Mahabharat – A story of love and revenge (2002)

4.   Obstacles in Economic Development of Nepal (2018)

5.   Kumari: Multifaceted Living Goddess – The Source of Supreme Power (2022).

Moreover, the five books released on Saturday mark exclusive land mark to the author’s contribution.
