The film’s plot is as high stakes as it gets, centering on the hard journey of climbing Mount Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) and a love story that unfolds during this incredible expedition.
Presented by Saroj Neupane, the film is a conscious effort to demonstrate Nepal’s beauty to the youth through a first-class production. ‘We have presented the beauty of Nepal in this film,’ Neupane remarked. ‘The main character’s journey to climb Sagarmatha is shown, and we expect this to significantly boost tourism. We have all worked hard to create a film that every Nepali can be proud of.’ Actor Bhuwan K.C., who features prominently in the film, expressed his pride in the project. ‘I have spent a long time with this film. The experience of working as an artist, producer, and director makes me feel that this is a film every Nepali can take pride in. The hard work of the entire team has made this an international-level film,’ he shared.
The film boasts a strong ensemble cast including Bhuwan K.C., his son Anmol, Anchal Sharma, Jasita Gurung, Kedar Ghimire ‘Magne Budha’, and Usha Khadgi.
Actress Anchal Sharma, who plays the character ‘Shreya’, revealed that this is one of her best works to date. ‘I worked very hard on this film, and I can say it is one of my finest and most quality works. People often want to see actresses look beautiful on screen. In this film, every desire an actress has for her role has been fulfilled,’ Sharma said.
Produced under the banner of Ananya Films Production and directed by Suyog Gurung, ‘Jerry on Top’ is a technical powerhouse. The film is based on a story by Hemraj Bisi, with a screenplay by Bishwas Timsina and cinematography by the acclaimed Dulip Regmi.
