Nepal received a total of 70,193 tourists by air in July 2025. This is 8.7 percent increment over the same period last year, according to Nepal Tourism Board.

In the first seven months of 2025, from January to July, Nepal received a total of 647,882 tourists by air. This is the highest tourist arrival to Nepal in the post covid – 19 period.

Among the international visitors, Indian visitors topped with 27,152 (38.7 percent) visitors in July, followed by China with 6,890 arrivals (9.8 percent) and USA with 6,626 visitors (9.4 percent).

Bangladesh comes fourth with 4,413 visitors (6.3 percent) and UK fifth with 3,547 visitors (5.1 percent).

The increasing number of visitors in the recent period can be attributed to promotional programmes, investment flow from private sector and diversified tourism products as Nepal celebrate Visit Nepal Decade (2025-2035), remarked CEO of Nepal Tourism Board Deepak Raj Joshi. Of the total tourist arrival, share of tourists from South Asia (SAARC) stood at 48 per cent (33,787 people), Asia (others) at 18.6 per cent (13,052 people), Europe at 13.2 per cent (9,292 people), Americas at 11.1 per cent (7,780 people), Oceania at 2.6 per cent (1,807 people), Middle East at 1.2 per cent (828 people), Africa at 0.5 per cent (318 people) and others at 4.7 per cent (3,329 people) in the review month.
