
Minister for Health and Population Pradeep Paudel has unveiled the progress made by the ministry in various fields over the past one year’s period.
Minister Paudel has informed that the government has launched citizen health programme under the “Healthy Nepal” campaign based on Ayurveda and Naturopathy which has been extended to local levels. Talking to reporters at the ministry on the occasion of his one year completion as the health minister, Paudel said, the ministry has stressed on promoting physical wellbeing, positive thinking and personality development by implementing programmes like yoga, meditation and healthy life style in collaboration with the local government.
The ministry has started traditional health services with the aim of preservation and promotion of Ayurved, yoga and traditional health care system by establishing ‘Rastriya Ayurveda Panchakarma and Yoga Centre’ at Budhanilkantha in March 2024.
The ministry has also been working towards establishing digital health service and providing free treatment to the burn patients, he informed.
