The Nepal Automobiles Dealers Association (NADA) and the recently formed similar organization Nepal Automobiles Imports and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) have expressed their commitment to work together for the development of Nepal’s automobile sector.
Both organizations issued a joint statement with a message of unity in the development of the auto sector. NADA president Karan Chaudhary and NAIMA president Ritu Singh Vaidya said that they are committed to the overall development of the vehicle sector of the country.
NADA is an organization established in 1975 with the vision of supporting the automobile industry and contributing to national development. It has played a key role in formulating Nepal’s automobile policies and addressing industry-related challenges. Its members include Nepal’s automobile importers and manufacturers.
The newly formed NAIMA aims strong advocacy for mobility empowerment. It represents automobile importers and manufacturers in Nepal with the mission is to empower development through mobility.
As both organizations – NADA and NAIMA – are directly involved in the automobile business, member companies may choose to be part of both associations. However, each association will continue its efforts independently while remaining committed to its own goals.
The organization will work with the government to achieve these objectives by promoting environmentally friendly practices, consumer education, addressing the need for road safety and infrastructure improvements.
“As Nepal’s automobile sector moves towards sustainability, innovation, and policy stability, both NADA and NAIMA are fully committed to protecting the rights and interests of entrepreneurs, collaborating in industry-friendly policymaking, and advancing the overall sector,” the statement said.
NAIMA is preparing to formally announce the organization’s launch on April 18, 2025, by publicizing its clear vision, key areas of work, medium and long-term plans, and programs to be implemented for mobility empowerment.
