Min Bahadur Gurung asked a bail of Rs. 24.6 million

The District Court, Kathmandu, has sought the highest bond from Bhatbhateni Supermarket owner Min Bahadur Gurung.

A single bench of Judge Bholanath Dhakal has demanded a bail of Rs 24.6 million from Gurung, who is termed as the mastermind of the Baluwatar land grabbing scam in the charge sheet. A maximum of Rs 1.5 million bail has been sought from the others who were arrested along with Gurung.

Narayan Raj Mishra, Yog Raj Paudel, Gopal Karki, Ghaman Kumar Karki, Balkrishna Shrestha and Rudra Kumar Shrestha have been asked for bail of Rs 750,000 each.

Similarly, an order has issued to demand a bail of Rs 350,000 each from Shivji Bhatta, Dhruba Prasad Aryal and Rs 100,000 from Sanjay Kumar Maharjan, Saklanand Maharjan, Dev Narayan Maharjan and Baburaja Maharjan.
