Gagan Thapa aks federal govt to talk with Balen

Nepali Congress general secretary and House of Representative member Gagan Kumar Thapa has advised to the federal government to immediately start dialogue with Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

Speaking in the meeting of the House of Representatives Monday, Thapa urged Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” to hold discussions with KMC Mayor Balen Saha without any delay and prejudice.

“Let dialogue be held quickly with the metropolis regarding its decision of not collecting garbage from Singha Durbar premises and other areas. Issues that have to be sorted out now should be sorted out soon,” he said. The justified demands of KMC should be addressed,” he said. He also called for also involving the people’s representatives from the Kathmandu Valley in this dialogue process.

KMC has not picked up the garbage from Singha Durbar and some other places citing the federal government has not cooperated enough to the KMC in its plan of managing the metropolis properly. He has drawn attention of the federal government towards its 14 point demands.
