The Nepal Weekly Nepal’s Supreme Court has issued a stay order asking the government not to implement its decision to call back ambassadors from eleven countries. A joint bench of Supreme Court Justices Sharanga Subedi and Shree Kanta Paudel on Sunday issued the interim order, staying the government’s decision to recall the ambassadors.
A cabinet meeting held on October 6 had decided to call back ambassadors from 11 various countries including China, USA, Russia, Japan and Span among others by November 6.
In response to the government decision, the concerned ambassadors had moved the Supreme Court seeking an interim order. The apex court has issued an interim order Monday.
