Prachanda meets President Murmu and PM Modi in Delhi

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ called on President of India Droupadi Murmu on Monday. PM Prachanda, who reached Delhi on Sunday on an official visit to India, met President Murmu in the official residence of the President at the western end of Rajpath, Raisina Hill in New Delhi, according to Foreign Ministry sources.

The matters relating to centuries-old relations existing between Nepal and India and mutual interests were mainly discussed. “The two exchanged views on strengthening the people-to-people relations between the two neighbors.”

PM Prachanda participated in the swear-in ceremony of the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. Both the heads of the government’s held the meeting following the swearing-in ceremony.

Congratulating Prime Minister Modi on his historic victory for the third term PM Prachanda expressed belief that the relationship of both the countries will reach to new heights during Modi’s third term as the Prime Minister of India.

PM Prachanda participated in the supper hosted by the Indian President on Sunday evening. The PM has already returned to Kathmandu on Monday evening wrapping up the two day visit.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by his daughter and private secretary Ganga Dahal, Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Padam Giri, Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal, and other senior officials during the visit.
