Monsoon enters in Nepal 3 days earlier

This year’s monsoon has just entered the country from eastern Nepal. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the monsoon entered in the country on Monday via the eastern part of Koshi Province.

June 13 is a tentative date for the arrival of monsoon and this year, it made its presence three days earlier, according to officials at the Meteorological Forecasting Division. It will be advanced gradually to other parts of the country as well.

According to forecasts by the Division, the monsoon season this year is expected to bring 35 to 55 percent more rainfall than the average. Meanwhile, Home Ministry has made necessary preparations to deal with the possible disasters associated with the monsoon.
