Nepal seeks Korea’s help to modernize agriculture sector

South Korea’s Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Chung Hwang-keun, who was in Kathmandu, on Thursday called on President Ram Chandra Paudel at the Office of the President at Sheetalniwas, Kathmandu.

During the meeting, President Paudel expressed his pleasure to the deepening friendly relations between Nepal-South Korea in recent years.

On the occasion, President Poudel also extended his gratitude to the Korean government for providing technical support, human resource development and other assistance through Korea International Cooperation Agency.

During the meeting President Paudel urged Korean government for providing help in mechanization and modernization of agriculture sector in Nepal. He asked the Korean government to facilitate for the development of agriculture in Nepal through providing technology and investment.

South Korea was a reliable partner for Nepal’s socioeconomic development, President Paudel said during the meeting, according to the President’s office.
