
The Russian House in Kathmandu successfully inaugurated the art exhibition titled “With Love from Russia” on Thursday, January 29, 2026 celebrating the artistic expression as a bridge of friendship and cultural connection between Nepal and Russia. The exhibition featured works by renowned Russian artist Ms. Mariia Semenova, presented as a heartfelt message of love, creativity and shared cultural values.
The programme began with a warm welcome to distinguished guests, artists and art enthusiasts. The exhibition was formally inaugurated through lighting the traditional Panas lamp by chief guest Bhupal Rai, chancellor of the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts, Kiran Manandhar, renowned artist and former chancellor of the NAFA, and the exhibiting artist Mariia.

Director of the centre Ms. Anastasia Khokhlova, in her opening remarks, highlighted the role of art in strengthening people to people ties and promoting cultural dialogue between the two countries. Senior artist Manandhar spoke about the importance of international artistic exchange and appreciated the initiative for fostering deeper cultural understanding. Chancellor Rai underscored the value of art and literature in enriching Nepal’s cultural and academic landscape and strengthening Nepal – Russia relations.
