With the death of five more passengers, the death of Thursday night’s wedding bus mishap that occurred in Purchaudi Municipality of Baitadi district of Western Nepal has climbed to 13. Eight people died on the spot while five others were killed while undergoing treatment in the Purchaudi bus accident at 8 pm on Thursday, according to the police.
The accident occurred when bus was carrying a wedding procession from Purchaudi Municipality of Baitadi district towards Sunkuda of Bajhang district of Sudur Paschim Province according to the police. Forty other passengers were injured as the bus climbing upward slipped in the hilly road and fell some 200 metre down. Among the injured passengers who are undergoing treatment in the hospital, the condition of three people is said to be serious.
