Chinese company to print new 100 bank notes with pointed map of Nepal

The Nepal Rastra Bank has awarded the contract to a Chinese company to print new 100-rupee bank notes featuring the new pointed political map of the Nepal. This is the first instance of the currency reflecting the updated map following recent constitutional amendments. The Council of Ministers approved the design change for the 100-rupee note, which incorporates the newly recognized borders of Limpiyadhura, Lipulek, and Kalapani as Nepalese territories under a constitutional amendment enacted on May 20, 2020.
