Seikh Hasina resigns and leaves the country as violence escalates

Record five-time Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina has resigned from her post amid violent protests. She departed from Bangabhavan on a military helicopter accompanied by her younger sister Seikh Rehana for a safer place, probably towards India.
