The fourth edition of Mrs. & Miss Disability Queen Nepal has successfully concluded, with the grand finale taking place at Diyo Mahal, Dhumbarahi, Kathmandu. The event celebrated the achievements and talents of individuals with physical disabilities, showcasing their confidence and personality.
In the Mrs. category, Kausila Bista from Sudurpaschim won the crown of Mrs. Disability Queen Nepal 2024. Kausila also bagged the title of Most Confident, highlighting her poise and self-assurance.
In the Miss category, Nirmala Bhandari from Kadhaghari was honored with the title of Miss Disability Queen Nepal 2024 and was awarded Best Personality, recognizing her charm and character. The winners of both categories bagged a cash prize of ten thousand rupees each, and the runners-up were awarded five thousand rupees each. Rojina Syangtan was declared the first runner-up, while Nirmala Magar earned the second runner-up position, demonstrating the competitive spirit and talent of all participants.
This event, organized by Green Arts Media Pvt. Ltd., has been organized annually since 2021 with the mission to empower and encourage people with physical disabilities. The tagline for the event, “My ability is stronger than my disability,” underscores its focus on celebrating the strengths and capabilities of the contestants rather than their disabilities. Mrs. Nepal Universe 2019 and fashion choreographer Anila Shrestha choreographed the event, ensuring a professional and polished presentation. Twenty contestants competed in the final round, showcasing their talents and confidence in wardrobes designed by student designers from IIFT, Dream Institute of Fashion and Modeling.
