Police arrest actor Thapa on fraud case

Police have arrested film director and actor Sudarshan Thapa from Kathmandu on Monday. Thapa was arrested on Monday in connection with the controversy related to film ‘Prasad 2’, according to the police.

Producers Sudarshan Basnet and Jack Shrestha have lodged a complaint of fraud and criminal treachery at the District Police Range, Kathmandu, against Thapa. The complaint, filed on July 26 last year, alleges that they were cheated of Rs 15 million by the unauthorized screening of their film, both within and outside the country.
