Two Mongolian climbers who were found dead above 8,000m on Mt Everest had stood atop the world’s highest peak on May 13, claimed the expedition organizers. After examining their mobile phones, Pemba Sherpa, Director at 8K Expeditions, informed that Usukhjargal Tsedendamba and Prevsuren Lkhagvajav took their summit photos at 11:57 am on May 13. Rescuers recovered a body of Usukhjargal near the south summit of Mt Everest on May 17 while Prevsuren was found dead near the Balcony area. Video shows that the climbers were struggling hard to descend from the top as they ran out of oxygen, according to Sherpa.
The duo went missing on May 12 after they headed for a summit push without personal guides. Rescuers from 8K Expedition had spotted their bodies at around 8,600m and 8,400m.
