A New Delhi bound aircraft of Druk Air -773 was hit by a bird while taking off at the Tribhuvan International Airport Monday morning. According to airport sources, the bird hit the plane at 8:40 AM on Monday. Despite the bird collision, the plane safely flew for Delhi. The bird that hit the aircraft was found dead on the runway. “A small bird hit the airplane as soon as it took off. There was no damage to the aircraft. The plane has landed in Delhi safely,” said Subhash Jha, director of TIA office.
