Two killed, 36 injured in bus accident

Two people including a ten year child died in a bus accident at Khayarmara of Bardibas municipality in Mahottari district Friday morning. The deceased have been identified as Chulhai Chaudhary, 80, of Bardibas and Prabesh Khadka, 10, of Ishworpur of Sarlahi district, according to the police.

The accident took place when the passenger bus was heading towards Kathmandu from Kayarmara. The passengers were returning to Kathmandu after celebrating Vijaya Dashami festival, said the police.

Around 36 passengers of the bus were injured in the incident and all of them are undergoing treatment at different hospitals in Bardibas, said the police. The reason of the accident is not known yet. Meanwhile, the District Administration Office Kathmandu has urged commuters not to enter or travel out of Kathmandu by road at night for the next three days, October 3 to 6 as it has received information from the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology regarding heavy rainfall starting Friday.
