The release of Nepali film ‘Abhimanyu: Chapter 1’ has been postponed once again. The production team announced that due to the current national circumstances, the film will now hit theaters on Kartik 21 (November 7, 2025) instead of its earlier scheduled release on Ashoj 24 (October 10, 2025).

Producer Binod Poudel informed about the update through his Facebook post, stating that the decision was made to ensure the film’s release takes place in a comfortable and secure environment for audiences. He also expressed his hope for continuous love and support from moviegoers during challenging times.

Produced under the banner of 7Seas Cinema, ‘Abhimanyu: Chapter 1’ is set for a simultaneous release in both Nepali and Hindi languages, targeting audiences not only in Nepal but across India and other countries as well.

The film features an ensemble cast including Kameshwor Chaurasiya, Sarita Giri, Kiran Shrestha, Laxmi Bardewa, Gaumaya Gurung, Prakash Dahal, and Shishir Wangdel in pivotal roles. It is directed by Sushant Gautam and written by Mukesh Khanal, with Madan Thapa serving as the creative director.

Producers Binod Poudel and Gunjan Giri lead the project, while Ramesh Chaulagain and Hari Shrestha are the co-producers. The executive producers include Bishal Lama, Hari Moktan, Krishna Bhattarai, Nirajan Luintel, and Sandesh Shrestha, with Jiban Shakya serving as the line producer.

The production house has hinted that ‘Abhimanyu: Chapter 1’ explores powerful themes of identity, struggle, and resistance continuing the cinematic legacy established by Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi, another acclaimed production of the same team.
