Senior leader of Nepali Congress and former Deputy Prime Minister Bimalendra Nidhi has said that Nepali Congress should quit the government and initiate process to forming an all party government as the situation has become fragile after the death of 19 people in the anti-government demonstrations on Monday.
The political situation of the country has been deteriorated posing threat to the very system of democratic republic, Nidhi said talking to PTI. This has posed threats to democracy, the current political system and the constitution, he pointed out.
As Nepali Congress is the largest party in the Parliament it has to take the responsibility to save democracy and constitution, he said. The Nepali Congress should call back its cabinet members and sit in the opposition bench for now, Nidhi opined. There is a need to forming a national government or an all party government to deal with the situation, he pointed out.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli has called an emergency meeting of the cabinet in the evening to discuss about the latest political situation in the country.
