Bethanchock village in Kavrepalanchok district was devastated by the September floods, and the condition here is same even after three weeks. There are fallen electric poles and trees everywhere, muddy roads, dismantled houses and boulders blocking the highway in Bethanchock. In fact, Bethanchock is totally devastated by the flood and landslide that occurred due to the incessant rain just before Dashain. People here are badly affected by the natural disaster that hit the village three weeks ago. People of the area are hardly benefited by relief and rehabilitation activities carried out by the local and provincial government. Here, reconstruction and maintenance woks have also not been carried out timely. For them the great Hindu festival Dashain turned to be misfortune.
