Nima Rinji becomes the youngest climber to scale all 14 above 8 thousand peaks

Nepal’s 18-year-old climber has scripted history in mountaineering becoming the world’s youngest climber to scale all 14 eight thousanders. Nima Rinji Sherpa, hailing from Makalu -1 in Sankhuwasabha district of Eastern Nepal, stood atop Mt Shishapangma in Tibet Wednesday morning becoming the youngest person in the world to summit all 14 highest mountains above 8,000m, confirmed Mingma Sherpa, Managing Director of Seven Summit Treks, that organized the expedition.

Nima has reached 18 year and 5 month while standing on top of the mountain, according to Mingma. Nima Rinji accompanied by his climbing partner Passang Nurbu Sherpa reached the summit of Shishapangma at around 6:05am Chinese time, he said. Nima had climbed the Everest in May 2023. Mingma had already climbed other 12 eighteen thousanders: Mt. K2, Cho Oyu, Dhaulagiri, Lhotse, Manaslu, Makalu, Naga Parvat, Broad Peak, G 1, G 1, Annapurna and Kanchanjunga.
