On the occasion of Constitution Day, the ‘National Day Concert’ was organized at Durbarmarg in Kathmandu on Thursday, September 19. This National Day concert was organized by people themselves, which is the first such instance in the history of Nepal. The concert that started at 4 pm lasted for about four hours. The concert was attended by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, his spouse Radhika Shakya, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak and Industry, Commerce and Supply Minister Damodar Bhandari among others. On that occasion, Prime Minister Oli waved the national flag and shared the joy of celebrating the Constitution Day with the people. He extended best wishes for Constitution and National Day. About five thousand security personnel including Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police and Traffic Police were mobilized to provide security for the concert. The government coordinated and facilitated the concert organized by the National Day Council formed by 151 people. During the concert, Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force presented orchestra and 32 artists representing all seven provinces performed their talent. Artists Anand Karki, Kunti Moktan, Devika Bandana, Sugam Pokharel, Deepak Limbu, Pramod Kharel, Suwani Moktan, Swapna Suman and others participated in the gala show.
