Salt Trading Corporation Ltd. Monday opened ten subsidized outlets in Kathmandu valley for the upcoming Dashain and Deepawali festivals. One of the STC outlet is located at its head office at Kalimati in the outskirt of Kathmandu.
STC has offered salt for Rs. 24 per kg and sugar for Rs. 205 per two kg in these subsidized shops. These Sasto Bazar outlets will remain open till Chhath festival, according to STC sources.
Soybean oil, sunflower oil, rice, lentils, spices, tea, flour, sugar, iodized salt and cooking gas ares some of the items available at the STC outlets. The items displayed at STC outlets range from apple to shoes and from soap to induction heater. Jumla apple is one of the main attractions at the STC shop located at Kalimatai.
STC has also offered five items including an induction heater, a pressure cooker and a non-stick frying pan for just Rs. 9,500.
