TUAAN honours Urmila Shrestha

Tribhuvan University Alumni Association Nepal (TUAAN), the organization of ex-students of the Tribhuvan University (TU) has honoured Urmila Shrestha, CEO of the Salt Trading Corporation Ltd. Chief Guest of the programme and Minister for Education, Science and Technology Bidya Bhattarai handed over a certificate of appreciation and wrapped a shawl to Shrestha during the 5th general assembly of the TU Memorial Hall on Saturday Shrawan 26 at TU Premises.\

The award has been conferred on CEO of STC Shrestha for making outstanding contributions by serving in the higher positions of the Salt Trading Corporation, according to Pradip Kumar Shrestha, chairman of TUAAN. On the occasion TUAAN honoured eleven former students of TU including Shrestha for their valuable contributions in various fields.

Former VC of TU Tirtha Raj Khaniya, tourism entrepreneur Karna Shakya, heart specialist Dr. Bhagwan Koirala and former IGP Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan are among those honoured by the TU.
