Singh committed towards systematic urban development

Newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh has said that the government will perform its function prioritizing maintaining political stability, systematic urban development and service delivery.

Talking to media persons at the ministry soon after assuming the office at Singhdurbar Singh said, the two large parties in the House of Representatives joined hands to maintain political stability at a time when the country was passing through political turmoil and instability.

The government is committed toward towards making the urban area modern, comfortable and systematic to fulfill the aspirations of the people in line with the duty and responsibility of the ministry, he pointed out. The present government will accord priority to delier services and welfare of the people so that people’s past grievances could be properly addressed, he pointed out.

Minister Singh, is the son of Ganesh Man Singh, the Supreme Leader of the People’s Movement part I. After receiving Masters’ Degree in

Science Singh has been active involved in politics for the past four decades. He spent several months in jail during then King Gyanendra’s coup in 2005.Singh had remained underground during the People’s Movement I and actively participated in Peoples’ Movement Part II that restored democracy, federalism and republic system by ending absolute monarchy. Singh has been continuously elected to the House of Representatives from prestigious Kathmandu constituency No. 1.
