NOC hikes Petroleum products’ price

The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the price of petroleums following a Board of Directors meeting held on Sunday. Effective from Monday midnight, the prices of petrol, diesel, and kerosene have been raised due to increased costs from the Indian Oil Corporation, NOC’s sole supplier of petroleum products. The new rates are Rs 2 per liter higher for petrol and Rs 5 per liter higher for diesel and kerosene. In first-category areas like Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj, petrol now costs Rs 164.50 per liter, and diesel Rs 154.50. In second-category areas, petrol is Rs 166 per liter and diesel is Rs 156 per liter. In Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal, classified under the third category, petrol is sold for Rs 167 per liter, and diesel for Rs 157 per liter. The prices of aviation fuel and LP gas remain unchanged according to the NOC sources.
