April 16, 2024The 18th graduation fashion show of Namuna College of Fashion Technology has concluded its show with resounding success. It was a captivating journey through style, elegance, imagination, creativity, innovation and glamour. Presented in eight distinct phases, each segment of the show unveiled the narrative of 71 talented graduating fashion designers.
The stage witnessed an astonishing display of creativity, innovation and imagination. Each moment was a visual delight, captivating fashion enthusiast with fresh perspectives on design and amazing stagecraft. The highlight of the evening was the emergence of the creative wears under the spotlight. As the models adorned in the masterpiece of each collection took the runway, the audience was spellbound. Adding to the spectacle were the impeccably dressed dolls, standing in perfect harmony with their human counterparts. These miniatures mirrored the model’s attire with precision, further enhancing the visual feast before the audience.
With the event named ‘Nirmiti Navyata’, the 71 graduating designers showcased their individual creativity through a series of mesmerizing presentations that explored various themes. The event featured eight different collections derived from various inspirations under eight different themes; Mystical creature, Fruity tones, Chain Chic in Denim Couture, Harmonia Vestis, Forms of Precipitation, Radiant Reflection, Macrame and Frosty Flourishes.
Each presentation saw the saga of expression portrayed on the canvas of various fabrics, explored through various elements of design and variations, and expressed in various moods of colors to create a magnificent and mesmerizing look for each piece of clothing. Each collection had a masterpiece of creative wear as the highlight of the collection.
The event took off with the runway presence of the founder principal of the NCFT, Mrs. Gyani Shova Tuladhar accompanied by promotional models of the event, which was carried under the theme of peace and prosperity. Hosted on 7th of April 2024, the NCFT graduation fashion show took place at Hyaat Regency, Boudha, Kathmandu, with media person and fashion choreographer Rojin Shakya directing and choreographing the event. The runway came into life with the awesome performances by 23 female and 9 male models, including both professional models and students from NCFT itself.
The show also incorporated the launching of the third edition of fashion catalog unveiled by Namuna College of Fashion Technology. The unveiling of the fashion catalog was jointly been performed by Vice-Chancellor of Purbanchal University Dr. Shailesh Mani Pokhrel, Registrar Neel Mani Pokhrel, Dean for faculty of Management Dr. Sandesh Das Shrestha, Exam Controller Balendu Hamal and Founder Principal of Namuna College Mrs. Gyani Shova Tuladhar, in presence of Vice Principal of the college Jeebeswor Lal Shrestha and event coordinators of 17th graduating batch of NCFT. The show was presented as a part of the academic requirements of the “Fashion Show” course of the final (eight) semester under Purbanchal University’s Bachelor of Fashion Design and Management (BFDM) program. Chairman of Saakha Group, Kiran Saakha, Executive Director of National Skill Testing Board Dr. Kul Bahadur Basnet, Fashion Designers Anu Shrestha and Sabina Chaudhary, Professor Dr. Jaya Laxmi Pradhan, Business Entrepreneur and Founder/Chairperson for Pure Clothing, Pashupati Dev Pandey, Fashion Educators Rajendra Singh and Kushma Shrestha played the role of evaluators to judge the creations of the 18th batch graduating student designers.
