Four army personnel injured in forest fire

Four personnel of the Nepal Army sustained injuries while trying to extinguish a forest fire in Dolpa district on Monday. According to the official sources, the soldiers suffered burn injuries while struggling to put off the fire at Mastabhavani Community Forest in Thulibheri Municipality-3 of the district. The injured are 30-year-old Bijay Koirala, 38-year-old Keshar Bahadur Darja Magar, 23-year-old Ashish Budha, and 28-year-old Hemant Rawat.

They have been airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment via a Nepali Army helicopter. The condition of three of the injured soldiers is said to be serious, according to the police. The army personnel from Devi Datta Battalion were mobilised after the fire that started on Sunday went out of control on Monday following strong wind.
