Three day Handicraft and Tourism Promotion Fair 2080 concludes

The Handicraft and Tourism Promotion Fair 2080 was conducted at Lalitpur Metropolitan City Ward No.6 recently. This was organized from March 8 to 10. The fair was inaugurated by mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City Chiribabu Maharjan who was chief guest of the inaugural event while Provincial Minister Ramkrishna Chitrakar was also present on the occasion.

The localities Okubahal, Kanibahal, Nugah and Thaina within the ward number 6 are famous for metal statue making are the venue of the event. The craftsmen produce high quality metal statues to export as well. Many master craftsmen were born, lived and worked there in the localities.

The streets and courts were all decorated and placed master pieces of metal statues. The fine and expensive quality statues showcased represent the best of craftsmanship performing in Nepal form historical ages to present time.

The visitors also enjoyed with music and dance performances and authentic local foods sold in the venue.

The 3-day handicraft and tourism promotion fair was conducted under the project of Ward No. 6 of Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality.
