Heavy snowfall in Sudurpaschim

Heavy snowfall was witnessed in of Dasharath Chand and Jaya Prithvi highways situated in Sudurpaschim Province since Thursday.

According to spokesperson of District Police office Police Inspector Nandaraj Joshi snowfall has taken place in Khodpe, Anarkholi, Harichan, Dudilakhan, Dholyamode, Bithad and other areas as well.

Vehicular movement along the highways was disrupted for some time due to heavy snow.

Meanwhile, the farmers in the districts of Sudurpaschim Province are elated hoping that the winter crop will yield better with the happening of snowfall. This is the second time the district witnessed snowfall in this winter. Earlier, snowfall had occurred in the first week of February.
