KMC bans parking in New Road sparking protests

Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has declared New Road area as no parking zone sparking protests among local traders and vehicle owners. Earlier, chief of KMC Police Force Raju Pandey has informed media persons that parking of vehicles will not be allowed in the New Road effective from Tuesday. The KMC has also launched special cleaning campaign in New Road area after removing vehicles from the area. Parking of two wheelers, four wheelers and other vehicles will be prohibited from Dharmapath, Juddha Statue to Indrachowk, Khichapokhari, Mahabaudha Bir Hospital and the black topped surrounding areas, according to the KMC.
