Nepal Telecom is the highest income tax paying company

Nepal Telecom has submitted the highest amount of income tax in the financial year 078/79. Individuals and organizations from 16 sectors, including telecommunication companies, were honored on Thursday at the closing ceremony of the tax week held on the occasion of National Tax Day. At the closing ceremony Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat honored the highest taxpayers.

In terms of export business, Dabur Nepal has become the highest tax paying industry. Asian Paints among special industries, OSB Foods and Feeds among agricultural and livestock industries, Neighborhood Microfinance Financial Institutions among cooperatives and microfinance institutions, Global IME Bank among banks and financial institutions, and Life Insurance Company among insurance businesses have become the highest tax-paying companies. Similarly, among health and education service providers, Nobel Medical College, Manakamana Darshan Pvt. Ltd. for tourism business, Bhatbhateni Supermarket for commodity trading. Nepal Stock Exchange among medium-level taxpayers, Bhotekoshi Power Company among energy industries, IME Limited among remittance companies, Surya Nepal have been honored for filing the highest total internal revenue. Vijay Kumar Shah has become the person who has paid the highest amount of income tax for the second time in a row. Jawalakhel Group of Industries Chairman Shah was honored for paying the highest amount of income tax towards personal income in the financial year 075/76. Siddharth Shamsher Rana, Chairman of Sipradi Group, has been honored for paying personal income tax the most times (6 years). Similarly, President of Nepal Investment Mega Bank Prithvi Bahadur Pandey and founder of Bansbari Neuro Hospital late Dr. Upendra Devkota has also been honored once by paying the highest amount of income tax.
