A tiger which is learnt to have killed two persons recently in Makwanpur has been brought to Chitwan. Chitwan National Park’s Information Officer Ganesh Prasad Tiwari informed that a ten year old female tiger was neutralized by darting on Sunday night. The animal was taken under control from Manahari Rural Municipality-6. It is believed that the wild cat killed two men on Friday and Sunday. It allegedly killed Hari Prasad Poudel, 43, of Dubichaur of Rapti Municipality-1 in Chitwan. The remains of another male were also retrieved from Dobhan that lies in between Rapti and Lothar rivers during a search for Poudel. The animal has been brought to Kasara.

Tiwari informed they were looking for space along the park for the wild cat. All enclosures in the CNP have been already occupied. Presently, there are four tigers in Kasara and two in Sauraha. Prior to this, the park sent three tigers to Parsa, Banke and Bardiya National Parks due to space issues. Of the total 355 tigers in Nepal, 128 are in Chitwan.
