The Thai Airways International, the national flag carrier of Thailand, has resumed its Kathmandu-Bangkok flights starting from Sunday.
The airline has re-launched its Kathmandu- Bangkok flight after an interal of three years. Thai Airways suspended its international flights in Nepal since March 25, 2020 following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to sources at the Tribhuvan International Airport the Thai Airways International restarted its flight through its narrow body Airbus 320 with a capacity of around 160 passengers. The Thai Airways International had launched its service in Nepal in December 1968. The Thai Airways will operate daily flights between Kathmandu and Bangkok. With the resumption of flights by Thai Airways the Thai Smile, a sister concern of Thai Airways, which had been providing flight services in Nepal had halted its service effective from Sunday.
