Newly appointed European Union (EU) ambassador to Nepal, Veronique Lorenzo has said that the EU would continue its support for Nepal’s development including in the enforcement of the constitution and the federal governance system.
Speaking to media persons in Kathmandu on Monday, envoy Lorenzo also expressed her commitment to assist Nepal to achieve prosperity, and to give continuity to its assistance to Nepal in the areas of quality education, climate change, sustainable development, and promotion of energy sector, improvement of the human rights and for building an equitable society.
Recalling the EU decision to provide Nepal 300 billion Euros till 2026 under a five-year plan, the ambassador expressed hope for wider cooperation and collaborations from all sides to achieve the programme targets set by Nepal.
