Classic Gallery has hosted an exhibition entitled Panorama: a contemporary perspective. Deputy Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City Mrs. Manjali Shakya Bajracharya officially opeoend the exhibition at Chakupat, Lalitpur on Sunday.
During the exhibition painting works done by six women artists were hanged. Senior artist and art critic Madan Chitrakar on the occasion expressed the view that women artists of Nepal are unable to continue their art journey due to their involvement in household works.
Classic gallery conducted an art residency program called “Classic Artist in Residency 2023” from 28th February, 2023 to 13th May, 2023. Under the residency, based on the theme of “Contemporary Approach to Social and Cultural Values of Nepal”, the participating women artists created art through in-depth research and conceptual discussion, according to Sarita Dangol, who organized the residency program.
