People throng for advance ticket booking

A crowd of people, returning to their homes for the national festivals Dashain, Tihar and Chhath have started queuing in the new bus park to buy advance bus tickets.

As the bus operators opened advance ticket bookings for long-distance buses from today (Monday) for the convenience of passengers, it is found that people are hoarding to buy tickets. 

Many people who live temporarily in Kathmandu usually return home for the main festival of Hindus of Nepal, Dashain. The advance booking of tickets for both long and short routes targeting Dashain, Tihar and Chhath opened on October 9.

A joint meeting of the Traffic Police, department staff, and transport businessmen held at the Department of Transport Management on Friday decided to open advance ticket bookings from October 9.
